SUPER: Studio 79 Presents
EXT. Scene 1: Opening Scene -- Evening (Day 1 @ 6:00pm)
IMAGE: Alan running through the forest in the rain. Feet shown only. Heavy Breathing.
SUPER: An Apartment 211 Production
IMAGE: Conrad finishing up filling up his car. Show clothes; no face. Man gets into car and starts it up. Headlights turning on. Car driving off from a gas station. Car turns off freeway onto another road.
SUPER: A Steven Brown Film
IMAGE: Alan continues to run though the forest. More of the body is shown but the face is not. Heavy Breathing still.
IMAGE: Alan is soaking wet and bloody. Alan runs out of the forest into the middle of the road. He flags down Conrad's car. Still not seeing his face, Alan runs to driver side of the car.
SUPER: Landon Sperry
IMAGE: From side of the car, window rolls down revealing the face of Conrad (an older gentleman).
Conrad
Can I help you, son?
IMAGE: From inside the car looking out, the face of Alan is revealed (late 20’s, has stubble and a buzz haircut).
Alan
I need a place to stay. Just for the night.
IMAGE: From side of the car, Conrad has a concerned look on his face.
Alan
Please. I'll pay you.
IMAGE: Alan pulls out $200 and hands it to him.
Conrad
Well, I probably shouldn't be doing this but... get in.
IMAGE: Alan runs to driver side of the car and jumps in the car. Car drives off.
Conrad
So... since I'm helping you I think I deserve to know your name at least.
Alan
Alan... Alan Jacobs.
IMAGE: Alan passes out. Conrad looks at him still with a concerned look. Show car still driving. Image blurs than instantly goes to black.
SUPER: Revenge of the Hunted
EXT. Scene 2: The McDaniel's Home -- Morning (Day 2 @ 10:00am)
SUPER: Jordan Weber, Jeremy Stiborek, Casen Sperry, Asenath Rallison, Mary Harkness, Matt Pace, Will Lara
IMAGE: Sunrise. Then inside the McDaniel's house laying in a guest bed, Alan, has been cleaned up and is resting. Alan wakes up, look around, puts his hand to his head in pain, then reaches for the clothes on the desk next to him like he was going to put them on. Meanwhile, Conrad and Sarah are sitting at the table finishing up their breakfast while more is cooking. Alan walks in fully dressed and holding his head.
Conrad
Let's talk in the front room.
IMAGE: Alan follows Conrad and Sarah into the front room. Alan sits on the couch closest to the window, across from Conrad and Sarah.
Alan
You have a nice house.
IMAGE: Alan looks around the room and notices a pic of Conrad, Sarah, and another man. Alan turns to Conrad and Sarah handing the picture to Sarah while pointing to the man.
Alan
Who is this?
IMAGE: Sarah grabs the picture from Alan and looks at it.
Sarah
That's Steven, my cousin.
IMAGE: Sarah puts picture back on the table. Phone rings. Sarah looks at phone's caller ID and turns to Conrad smiling.
Sarah
It’s Steven. I’m going to take this.
IMAGE: Sarah gets up and leaves the room. Conrad looks at Sarah as she leaves and then looks at Alan relaxing.
Conrad
So... why were you all bloodied up when I picked you up? Did you kill someone?
Alan
Some men killed my wife and I escaped. The blood on my shirt was her's.
Conrad
Oh, I am sorry. It is never easy to watch someone you love die.
IMAGE: Conrad gets a curious look in his eye.
Conrad
I think you could use a drink. A scotch or whisky perhaps?
Alan
I'll actually take some more orange juice, if you don't mind.
IMAGE: Conrad gets up and walks into the kitchen. (Shot from outside looking in) Alan turns around and looks outside with a concerned look on his face. (Shot from inside again) Conrad then walks back into the room with one glass of orange juice. Alan rises to grab the cup and just as he sits down, a bullet shoots through the window whizzing right past Alan's head hitting Conrad and killing him instantly.
Alan (shouting)
Call 911!
IMAGE: Sarah runs into the room. Seeing her father dead on the ground, she runs up to him and holds him crying.
Alan
Stay down and out of sight! Do you have any guns in the house?
Sarah
One, under the couch... why?
IMAGE: Alan looks under the couch and grabs the gun and makes sure that it is loaded while laying on the ground.
Alan
I’m going to finish this!
IMAGE: Alan heads for the door, opens the door.
Alan
Sorry about your husband.
IMAGE: He then turns around and starts to run off after the shooter.
EXT. Scene 3: The Hunt – Early Afternoon (Day 2 @ 11:00am)
IMAGE: After a lot of action such as chasing, jumping, shooting, etc, Alan walks up to the shooter as he is trying to crawl away. Alan kicks him a few times in the side then flips him over and points the gun at his head. (going to be storyboarded after I find the location)
Alan
Why me? Why today?
Rex
I don’t know! I just do as I am told. Here… take this card. The guy in charge gave it to me to call him when the job was finished.
IMAGE: Alan grabs the card and shoots him in the leg.
Alan
Is there any more information that you are keeping from me?
Rex
It’ll tell you all that you need to know!
IMAGE: Alan then shots Rex three times, turns around and walks away.
EXT. Scene 4: The Jacob's Home – Afternoon (afternoon of the day before) (Day 2 @ 2:00pm)
IMAGE: Alan walks up to his door, pulls out his gun, and walks inside. His house is still in disarray from the struggle that happened the day before. Alan walks up to the blood stain on the ground and touches it. Memories from what happened are revealed.
(Flashback BLACK AND WHITE) (Day 1 @ 3:00pm)
IMAGE: Alan finishing making some lunch when he receives a call from his old friend John Harrowman.
Alan
Hello?
John
Alan? It's me, John.
Alan
John! What have you been up to?
IMAGE: Show John flipping through channels on the television.
John
Well, I still have more money than I can handle.
Alan
That happens when your parents leave you a HUGE inheritance. So, John, why did you call?
John
Right. I just wanted to tell you that I sent you an Anniversary gift. It should arrive today.
IMAGE: John waits a couple of seconds.
John
Diane is working, I suppose.
Alan
Yeah, she'll be flying in tomorrow morning. It's our Anniversary tomorrow, after all. I know she would love to talk to you.
John
Yeah... you know, I never did tell you this but... I had feelings for Diane in College.
Alan
I didn't know. So there are no hard feelings between us, right?
IMAGE: Show John's phone with a pic of Diane from College as his Wallpaper as he receives a text saying "On location. Moving in, in 5 minutes.
John
...of course not.
IMAGE: John smiles
Alan
Well, John, I would love to stay and chat but I have to get ready for work. I have a long night ahead of me!
John
Goodbye, old friend!
IMAGE: Alan then picks up the newspaper and lunch and walks to the bathroom reading and eating. He stops in the bathroom. Puts the paper on the toilet and takes his last bite of his lunch. He takes off his top shirt and gets ready to shave when he hears the sounds of his lovely wife, Diane. He quickly washes his face and runs to see her.
Alan
You’re home early!
Diane
Couldn’t stay away a minute longer!
IMAGE: Diane and Alan kiss then Alan takes her bags to the room and she hangs her coat up in the closet. As he is putting the bags in their room he hears male voices and Diane scream. He runs out to save her but gets knocked out in the process. When Alan wakes up, he is tied up on the floor looking at three men and his wife (who is also tied up lying on the floor and knocked out).
Alan
Who are you? What do you want?
Rex
It’s not what we want.
Alan
Just let her go!
IMAGE: Diane wakes up.
Diane
...Alan?
Alan
I’m here.
Rex
SHUT UP!
IMAGE: Rex hits Alan across the back of the head with a book from a shelf then tosses it on the floor.
Diane
ALAN!
IMAGE: Diane then bites Scooty on the arm which pisses him off so he kills her by shooting her.
ALAN
NO!
Man #1
Witch!
Rex
What was that?!
Man #1
She bit my arm! You said that she was going to be taken care of. I thought you meant… taken care of, as in kill her, so why not now?
IMAGE: Rex looks to Man #2.
Rex
Kill him.
IMAGE: Man #2 shoots Man #1 killing him.
Rex
Put them in the van while I get rid of him.
IMAGE: Man #2 starts dragging Man #1’s body outside and Rex turns to Alan.
Rex
Now… it’s your turn to die!
IMAGE: As Rex prepares to shoot, Alan kicks him in the groin causing him to bend over which allows Alan to kick him in the face causing him to pass out. While Alan is struggling, Man #2 comes in and takes Diane outside.
Alan
DON'T YOU TOUCH HER!
IMAGE: Alan finally breaks free just as Man #2 walks back in. Alan grabs Rex’s gun shooting Man #2, killing him. Alan drops the gun, gets up and starts running outside to hold his wife. Rex regains consciousness and tries to shoot Alan. Alan escapes and heads towards the mountains. (End of flashback) Alan drops the card he got from Rex on the ground. He picks it up and notices the name and number on the back… John Harrowman.
Alan
NO... Not him.
IMAGE: Alan in shock and now angered leaves his house gets in his car and drives off. Fade to black
EXT. Scene 5: John Harrowman’s Home – Late Afternoon (Day 2 @ 4:30pm)
IMAGE: Fade in from black. Alan pulls up to a nice fancy house, steps up and walks to the front door. He rings the door bell and makes sure his gun is hiding under his jacket. (From inside) John walks up to the door and answers it.
John
Alan.
IMAGE: John steps outside. Alan pulls his gun out and points it at John's head.
Alan
Back inside!
IMAGE: (From outside) Alan walks in and backs John up and Alan closes the door with his foot. (From inside) Alan puts his hands up surrendering.
Alan
So, I was supposed to die and you were going to be there to pick up the pieces. Is that it?! You're sick!
IMAGE: Alan shoots John in the left shoulder. John screams. Alan shoots him in the right shoulder. John screams again.
Alan
You are responsible for more than just one death today, you sick son of a...
IMAGES: Alan then shoots John four times in the chest. He hits the wall then going to the ground leaving blood smears on the wall. Show John dead on the floor. Play end credit music (Sealings by Yeah Yeah Yeahs) as Alan (in slow motion) exits the house, closes the door, enters his car and drives off. Fade to black.
